How much will moving insurance cost?

At Neo Moving, we go out of our way to protect and secure your belongings. Our many five-star customer service reviews are proof of our quality care and attention to detail. But unfortunately, accidents can happen.

If you’re concerned about your belongings, you may want to consider buying moving insurance for peace of mind. Before you do, check your homeowner’s insurance. That policy may offer all the coverage you need. If not, below, we’ve provided a handy tool to help you estimate what moving insurance will cost you and what it will cover. But first, there are four things you should know:

  1. All licensed moving companies in Washington offer the same levels of insurance. Although prices may differ slightly, the insurance options are determined by the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission.
  1. Industry standard for depreciated replacement value is 20% per year for furniture items.
  1. Some things can’t be insured, such as pets, plants, items of extraordinary value and items made of particleboard.
  1. Neo Moving will take every precaution to safeguard your belongings and ensure they are transferred to your new home safely.
